Union County Veterans Service Office
To serve Union County veterans, spouses and/or survivors in all matter pertaining to veteran benefits. Our three basic mandates are:
1) Provide emergency and temporary financial assistance to eligible veterans and/or their spouses and family.
2) Assist in the preparation and submittal of claims to the Veterans Affairs (VA) on behalf of the veteran or living spouse of the deceased veteran.
3) Transport veterans to VA medical facilities or VA-referred medical facilities.

Eligibility:
For financial assistance, the following are required: 3-month residency, must present discharge paper to prove active duty time (other than training) with some qualifiers on length of service and to verify type of discharge.

For VA benefits, discharge papers are required at a minimum.
