Services:
  • Assessments (vocational, psychological, medical as needed);
  • Counseling and Planning to jointly choose an employment goal;
  • Personal and Work Adjustment Training to assist consumer to reach employment goal;
  • Vocational Training which might include vocational school, college, technical or business school, or on-the-job training;
  • Supplies such as textbooks or tools or licenses and equipment;

  • Physical and Mental Restoration to correct or substantially modify an impairment so that consumer can attain employment (artificial limbs or braces, hearing aids, occupational, physical and/or speech therapy, treatment including hospitalization and surgery;
  • Placement in an employment setting suitable to consumers' skills and capacities;
  • Rehabilitation Technology may be used to modify equipment, a task or the environment to meet the needs of a person with a severe disability to be able to work;
  • Transition Services involve collaborative planning among RSC, local school districts, and other state and community agencies to help youth bridge from school to employment;
  • Follow-up on the job.
Eligibility:
1. Consumer must have a physical or mental impairment which constitutes or results in a substantial impediment to employment;
2. Consumer can benefit from services in terms of an employment outcome; and
3. Consumer requires VR services to prepare for, secure, retain or regain employment.
